The Collection of Ruth and David Waterbury: Conversations with Wood has recently been added to our book collection as a "Reference Only" item (i.e. while members are encouraged to peruse the book while attending meetings, it is not available for borrowing).
This handsome 256 page volume is a compilation of works in wood on exhibit at the Minneapolis Institute of Art this summer. The exhibition included approximately 80 pieces of wood art, representing the changing approaches to the medium during the past twenty-five years, from simple turned vessels to sculpted and constructed works. WGNC's very own V.P., Chris Boerner, is one of the featured artists in this book, so you most definitely won't want to miss this one!
